Snapchat’s not working: The popular messaging app is not functioning
This morning, users of the social networking app Snapchat have started experiencing problems with the service.
Users of the photo-sharing app Snapchat can take photographs to share with their friends.
Around 7 a.m. this morning, reports of problems started to show up on Down Detector, an app for detecting website outages.
The website claims that 76% of problems are caused by a malfunctioning app.
Why won’t my Snapchat messages send?
Numerous users have taken to social networking sites to voice their problems, leading user reports on Twitter to claim that the problem is due to snaps not sending.
“I’m rushing to Twitter to see if Snapchat is down for everyone else too,” one user tweeted.
“It’s not transmitting snaps or photographs in the chat,” another person complained.
Snapshots are not sent, a user noted on Down Detector.
Snapchat has not yet acknowledged any problems with the service, but there have already been over 7000 reports on Down Detector (at the time of writing).
The Snapchat Support account on Twitter is requesting users to DM them so they may try to resolve any issues they may be having.
