Who is Nicki Aycox?
Since she first fell in love with the family piano and started playing music at the age of nine, Nicki Aycox has led a fully artistic life.
She also had a background in theatre and beauty pageants. She is very private about her personal life, but we know that she lived in California with her husband Matt Raab and is survived by two children.
She is mostly known for her parts in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Perfect Stranger, Jeepers Creepers 2, and Supernatural.
What illness did she suffer from?
Aycox provided updates on her health on her Instagram with posts displaying her tenacious spirit, resilience, and sense of humour.
“I want everyone to know I’m doing incredibly well and fighting my way thru chemo.” said Aycox when she revealed she had been diagnosed with leukaemia in 2020.
It was her sister in law Susan Raab that shared the news to the world by sharing a message on her Facebook, ”My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab by her side.”
She believed she had Covid but soon learned she actually had leukaemia. In her posts she spoke of maintaining a positive outlook and using chemotherapy to treat the illness. She was resolved to return stronger and wiser than before.
“Gutted to hear the great #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away. Too young,” the show creator Eric Kripke tweeted on Sunday.
He continued on to say, “She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.” Her fans took to twitter as well to celebrate her life in movies.
