Cause of Death for Anne Heche Revealed

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office reported that Heche passed away from “inhalation and heat injuries.” Another “significant condition” in her death is a “sternal fracture owing to blunt trauma,” according to the coroner’s findings.

According to Sarah Ardalani, the coroner’s public relations officer, a thermal injury is a burn and an inhalation injury is not always related to smoke. In the meanwhile, according to Ardalani, the coroner’s office should release further information.

According to the report, Heche passed away on August 11 and the cause of death was recorded as accidental. Heche was taken off life support on August 14 after several days in a coma, according to information provided by Heche’s representative to THR in the past.

On August 5, the celebrity’s Mini Cooper veered off the road and struck a two-story house in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista district, causing “structural compromise and bursting in severe flames,” according to the L.A. Fire Department.
