When Taboo first aired in 2017, it was one of the most popular shows. People are still waiting for answers about the renewal in 2022. Yes, we’re talking about Taboo’s second season of renewal investigation.

The series has received mainly positive reviews, with critics praising Hardy’s acting, visual presentation, and pacing.

The eight-part story begins in 1814 with James Delaney (Tom Hardy) returning to England with fourteen stolen diamonds after spending twelve years in Africa.

As the battle with the United States approaches its peak, he is mourning the death of his father.

The plot explores the dark side of London in the nineteenth century, including governmental and economic corruption, gangs, working-class misery, and the rise of the wealthy.

Taboo Season 2 Release Date:

Taboo Season 2

Knight planned for the second season of Taboo to be released early in 2017. However, due to production delays, the film’s release date was pushed back from winter 2021 to summer 2022. However, we do not expect it to stick to these dates this time. It is set to air on September 24, 2021. I’m hoping there will be no further delays and that our wait will be over soon.

Taboo Season 2 Plot:

According to the events of Season 1, James Delaney and his companions will go to the Azores in Season 2, where they will meet US intelligence agent Colonnade.

In the second season, “Taboo goes west and becomes a little more narcotic, more opium-affected,” explains show creator Steven Knight.

Taboo Season 2

“I’ve sketched out a sort of geographical trajectory for the thing to take,” the author tells Collider about the project.

When embarking on a long journey, such as writing three eight-hour essays, having a destination in mind is beneficial. It’s vital to have a strategy in place if you want to be successful.

In season two, Hardy’s quirky character will have to find his late mother’s Native American ancestry in order to claim Nootka Sound.

Taboo Season 2 Cast:

Taboo Season 2

Hardy is the only confirmed returnee for Taboo season two so far — after all, he and his father, Chips Hardy, co-created it.

“It came about as a result of playing Bill Sykes in [BBC One’s 2007 drama] Oliver Twist,” Hardy told us in 2017.

“To put it bluntly, I wanted to play Bill Sykes, Sherlock Holmes, Hannibal Lecter, Heathcliff, Marlow [from Heart of Darkness], and every other great figure in one film.”

“The beautiful thing about Tom is that he is passionate about his profession. The show. He isn’t really fond of celebs. But all he wants to do is perform. He appreciates both the process and the craft.

“Having him available to perform roles that you’ve written on occasion is terrific for me because I know I can trust him to deliver what you’ve written.”
