In Week 5, against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs sustained one of their first severe injuries of the year.
Tershawn Wharton, a defensive tackle, staggered off the field early in the game, and the team promptly ruled him out. Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, said that Wharton’s knee injury will terminate his season.
According to Reid, Tershawn Wharton suffered an ACL tear in his left knee.
The third season of the Chiefs’ undrafted free agent from Missouri S&T. Through four games this season, he has eight total tackles, a sack, and five total pressures.

Along with numerous absences brought on by cramps and illness, there were two further major injuries.
Reid stated, “(Bryan) Cook had a concussion. Frank Clark was unwell. Chris Lammons suffered a right hip injury, and Rashad Fenton left the room due to cramps.
Early in the third quarter, Clark departed the game due to illness.
It’s probable that the team won’t have Cook and Lammons due to the little amount of practice time before Week 6’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills. When the squad starts practicing on Wednesday, we’ll simply have to wait and see how things turn out.
Summing Up
Due to an unidentified sickness, Clark’s participation in the second half of the game on Monday is doubtful. It’s unclear exactly when this problem started, but the starting defensive end was not listed on the Chiefs’ injury report throughout this week of practice.
