Chloe Grace Moretz has thought about how a Family Guy meme about her body affected her negatively.

The 25-year-old actor, who has been in movies including Kick-Ass and 500 Days of Summer, talked openly about how seeing memes of herself online altered her perception of her physique.

Moretz told Hunger about a particular photo of her in which she is seen leaving a pizza shop and walking into a hotel.

The image was used as the backdrop for a sequence in the popular Fox sitcom Family Guy.

A character (based on the image of Moretz) is introduced in the season 10 episode “Amish Guy”.

Legs Go All The Way Up Griffin, the grand aunt of the main character Peter Griffin, is a fictional character. The Seth McFarlane-voiced figure has exaggerated dimensions, including long legs and a small chest.

The image of the scene was soon shared online and became a meme.

Moretz expressed her discomfort with her physique becoming the target of jokes to the media.

It was something as innocuous as strolling into a hotel with leftovers, she recalled, “and I just remember sitting there and thinking, my body is being used as a joke and it’s something that I can’t change about who I am, and it’s being shared all over Instagram.”

The actor claimed that many others disregarded her worries regarding the meme and defended it as being “funny.”

I brought it up with someone, and they said, “Oh, shut the f**k up, it’s amusing,” she added.

The Peripheral, an Amazon Prime thriller series, will debut on October 21. Moretz is set to star in it.
