The photo-focused social media site Instagram, which is owned by Meta, declared that it is presently beta testing a new feature it calls “Nudity Protection.”
An AI-powered automatic filter for unwanted photographs exchanged in direct conversations is what the Nudity Protection feature truly is.
The tool will precisely recognize and automatically flag nudity transmitted to random users on the platform.
The functionality will then provide the recipient the option of seeing the message as usual or deleting it without opening it. This is a great feature for safeguarding users’ privacy while still monitoring sensitive content on the network without invading their personal space.
The Nudity Protection function was developed and is currently in the active-testing phase as a result of Instagram’s awareness of the fact that several women encounter users’ unauthorized nude photographs on the platform.
