English singer-songwriter Dua Lipa has been recently seen supporting the Amal and George Clooney Foundation for Justice 2022 on Thursday night in New York City. She wore a beautiful black Versace dress caught in the media on the Albie Awards red carpet. Other than Dua Lipa, various celebrities appeared in their debut inaugural Albie Awards such as Cindy Crawford, Lori Havey, Julia Roberts, and more.

The 27-year-old pop star described her views writing: I was delighted to join Amal and George Clooney this week as they honored courageous defenders of justice and human rights through the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Inaugural Albie Awards. It was inspiring to witness what a just society could look like through the tremendous work of all the honorees presented that evening.

At the event, she got the honor of presenting the justice for survivor award with her friend to iAct, for their work with survivors of genocide and other mass atrocities.

Dua also said on Twitter that iAct has collaborated with the Clooney Foundation for Justice to conduct interviews with survivors from Darfur, Sudan, who have spent more than ten years imprisoned in refugee camps in Chad, and through this proof, more than 100 survivors were represented by the Foundation in a militia leader’s trial at the International Criminal Court.

The London-born singer-songwriter discussed the lessons she learned through her friendship and campaigning work with her friend Nadia Murad, including how crucial it is to obtain testimony from genocide survivors and to do so in such an easy way. It is very difficult to ask somebody to forget about a traumatic past, but Amal showed it, the survivors got full power in the trial against those who committed horrific atrocities.

The 27-year-old singer was really happy and described at the end that she felt lucky enough to be a part of this memorable night, meeting with old and new friends, honoring these great defenders of democracy, equal rights, free speech, women’s rights, racial equality, and justice for survivors, etc.

Well, it was a heart-touching moment for Dua Lipa, as she described a lot of her feelings on Twitter, and even her fans praised her a lot that what she did last week.

One fan wrote: I’m so proud of you my Queen. Other than that she received a lot of hearts on her tweet. Dua Lipa always shows support for women’s rights and other constitutions, that’s why she is one of the most loved pop artists.
