Who Was Todd Beamer?

When four flights bound for San Francisco were hijacked by terrorists and crashed, Todd was on board one of them, United Airlines Flight 93. His 32 years of life were cut short in the accident.
Lisa Beamer addressed the Wheaton College Chapel on the twentieth anniversary of 9/11. She claimed that her husband’s death made him a national hero within three days.
Who Was Todd Beamer’s Wife?
When Todd Beamer wed Lisa in 1994, it was a happy union. Both she and her husband graduated from Wheaton College, where she gave a speech in which she expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life. felt our life was a blessing with a meaning.”
Both Todd and Lisa attended Wheaton and went on to successful careers in the software industry after graduation in 1991.
Before 9/11, Lisa was a mother to David and Drew, and she and her husband, Drew, were expecting their third child, a daughter they called Morgan.
PennLive reports that in the six months following the attacks, Lisa made 200 public appearances. She called what happened after Todd’s death “divinely arranged mayhem.”
Lisa recalled, “The phone rang incessantly for days and weeks. Oprah wanted to talk to me. CNN wanted to talk to me. The White House wanted to talk to me.”
