A cancer fight claimed the life of gamer and YouTuber Technoblade, the actual name Alex, at the age of 23.
The young man, who gained notoriety online for his Minecraft streaming videos, maintained a low profile. But after his passing, he provided a photo of his face and revealed his real name in a father’s YouTube video.
Since the news of his passing spread online, tributes to Technoblade have poured in, and friends and family have been sharing their favorite memories of the gamer.
On Youtube, Technoblade’s Final Face Reveal Is Shared
After Technoblade passed away, his father posted a YouTube video titled “so long geeks.” He can be seen in the video reading aloud a message his son wrote to his supporters soon before his passing.
The opening line of the message reads, “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. if you’re viewing it. I am no more. So let’s settle in for one last conversation.
As a picture of the YouTuber shows on the screen, followers are given the opportunity to glimpse Technoblade’s face for the first time and are also informed that his true name is Alex.
“I want to thank everyone for their support of my content over the years. Since those were the best years of my life, I believe I would prefer to be Technoblade once again on each of my additional one hundred lives, he remarked.

Who Is Technoblade?
Over 10 million people watched Technoblade’s gaming videos on YouTube. He gained enormous fame in the business by live-streaming recordings of himself competing in Minecraft competitions and playing video games, which he frequently won.
He was described by his father as the “most amazing kid anyone could possibly ask for.”
At the end of the video, Technoblade’s mother left a statement, saying that her son “adored and respected his fans and colleagues.”
She remarked, “All of us who had the opportunity of walking this path with my son was inspired by his bravery on this path.”
Less than 12 hours after it was posted, the video from July 1st had more than 20 million views. Fans have expressed their condolences to the celebrity gamer’s family in the comment section and remembered him, calling him a “legend” and an “inspiration.”

Whether they knew Technoblade directly or only through seeing his videos online, hundreds of fans and other gamers tweeted about how much the gamer meant to them. While some mentioned his generosity, others praised his gaming prowess.

Little did I know how to play… we still won the entire f***ing event thanks to the guy. Big Guy, rest in peace. You are and will remain a legend.
“Technoblade is a fucking legend,” tweeted Tommyinnit, another well-known player. I can’t express how grateful I am to have been in his life, having gone from being a huge admirer to becoming one of his actual friends.
“So, so sad to learn of the passing of techno blade, a skilled and amusing 23-year-old YouTuber I frequently watched with my son. “My sympathies are with Alex’s family, friends, and supporters,” wrote novelist John Green.
