Yes!! The news is true. It Ends With Us is getting a silver-screen adaptation.

It Ends With Us is going to hit the silver screen soon

It Ends With Us, a best-selling book by Colleen Hoover, will soon be adapted for the big screen. Since its publishing in 2016 and with the hashtag #ItEndsWithUs, the phenomenon has amassed over 2 billion views on TikTok and, according to Forbes, more than 4 million copies have been sold. It has been a fan favourite since it became viral.

What Is the Story About?

The book It Ends With Us, written by BookTok’s favourite author Colleen Hoover, will be adapted for the screen.

The book was published in 2016 and has since sold over a million copies, in particular, because it became viral on TikTok. Hoover has previously called it “the hardest novel I’ve ever written” and said it was inspired by her own mother and father’s relationship.

The protagonist of the book is Lily, a recent college graduate who relocates to Boston in an effort to start her own flower shop. She struggles with the memory of her previous love, Atlas, and comes to terms with the trauma in her parent’s relationship while there, falling in love with neurosurgeon Ryle.

Lily and Ryle’s entire future, however, is in jeopardy when Atlas reappears out of nowhere.

Although we don’t yet know how closely the movie will resemble the book, we’re hoping for an accurate rendition.

Who Has Been Cast Till Now?

Ryle and Lily have received formal casting. The news that Blake Lively (yes, Blake Lively!) would play Lily Bloom was revealed by Deadline on January 26. If you didn’t know, Blake’s prior acting roles include those in Gossip Girl, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and A Simple Favor. She also made her directorial debut with the music video for Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me.”

The actress teased a dark-haired snapshot on her Instagram Story on Thursday while a little snippet of “Lily (My One and Only)” by the Smashing Pumpkins played.
