Malika Haqq, who is best friends with Khloé Kardashian, has said that her ex-boyfriend O.T. Genasis is the father of her unborn child.
The news came out at Malika’s baby shower, which had a teddy bear theme, when she gave a speech to her guests. After saying how badly she wanted a child, she said, “I’m so grateful to Odis Flores for my little boy.” Odis Flores is the rapper’s birth name.
Now, it’s official that the ex-couple is expecting, and Odis has asked his Instagram followers for ideas on what to call the baby. But what do we really know about the man who will soon be a dad? And does this mean that he and Malika are back together now that she is pregnant? What we know is as follows.
Who is O.T. Genasis?
The 32-year-old was born in Atlanta to parents who moved there from Belize. He grew up in Long Beach, California. He was drawn into the world of crime, or “the underworld lifestyle,” as it says on his website. But, thankfully, his love of music gave him the drive to change.
“When I was young, I was a follower,” he said. A lot of followers were killed in front of me. Music saved me for sure… I just started taking my music to the streets with the same aggression I used when I was hustling.
Soon, 50 Cent noticed him and signed him to G-Unit Records, but their time together didn’t last long. After Busta Rhymes saw him perform, he signed him to his Conglomerate Records label, and since then, he has had several hits.
In fact, you may have heard some of his work because THE Beyoncé used two of his songs in her live shows. “Cut It” was part of her 2016 Formation World Tour, and “Everybody Mad” was part of her 2018 Coachella set and her and Jay-“On Z’s the Run II” tour.
Malika went out with O.T. Genasis on and off for two years.
They were first seen together in November 2017, just a few months after Malika broke up with Ronnie Ortiz-Margo from Jersey Shore. But it was clear from Malika’s Instagram post in May 2018 that their relationship wasn’t always easy.
