Green, 48, and Fox, 35, first met in 2004. November 2006 saw their initial engagement, which they eventually broke off in February 2009. They quickly reconciled, and in June 2010 they got married in Hawaii.
Five years after their wedding, the couple encountered another obstacle and split up after Fox originally requested a divorce. The two reconciled the following year after announcing they were expecting a third child together at the time.
Journey River, 5, Bodhi Ransom, 7, and Noah Shannon, 9, are the couple’s three sons. Green and Fox separated in May 2020 after Fox was seen hanging out with rapper Kelly (born Colson Baker), 31, whom she met while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass.
Three days after her red carpet debut with Kelly at the 2020 American Music Awards and one day before Thanksgiving of the same year, the Transformers star formally filed for divorce. On January 12, the couple made their engagement public.
A source close to Fox told PEOPLE after learning of her engagement to Kelly that she was “thrilled” and “ready to move on entirely” from Green following the two’s “divorce agreement last fall” (Fox and Green filed their divorce judgment on Oct. 15, 2021.)
In addition, Green and Sharna Burgess, another professional dancer with whom he appeared on Dancing with the Stars, have since broken up. The couple just revealed that their first kid will be born together.
When the couple celebrated their one anniversary in October, Green gushed over Burgess, 36, and wrote on Instagram, “I love you, sweetie. So many more years to come.” In December 2020, a source told PEOPLE that Fox had “intended to file for divorce for a long.”
The insider continued, “Megan thinks the divorce will go swiftly and be straightforward because she and Brian previously agreed on a custody arrangement.
Fox’s relationship with Kelly has been difficult for Green, according to a source close to him. “It’s a tough situation. As a dad, Brian is great. He is wonderful with the boys. The issue is that he is bitter that Megan moved on so quickly with Machine Gun Kelly. It’s been very hard for him,” the source said.
For those who need or want clarity, Green stated on Instagram in July, “Megan and I get along wonderfully. Neither of us is throwing petty digs at one other. We both try really hard to get along and co-parent well for our kids.”

After a decade-long marriage, Fox filed for divorce from Green on Wednesday, November 25 (the day before Thanksgiving).
The decision was made six months after Green revealed that he and Fox had split up in November 2019 in an episode of his podcast, “…With Brian Austin Green,” which aired in May.
The couple wed in June 2010 and have three sons together: Bodhi, age 6, Journey, age 4, and Noah, age 8. Fox reportedly asked for joint legal and physical custody of her and Green’s sons, according to court records obtained by TMZ.
She also requested that Green and/or she be barred from requesting spousal support. According to TMZ, Green agreed to the custody request but insisted that spousal support should remain an option.
Why then did Fox and Green part ways? So, a source informed E! Fox’s decision to file for divorce was long overdue, according to news on Monday, November 30. This is especially true now that she is dating Machine Gun Kelly, whom she met on the set of the 2019 movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.
Despite the fact that the divorce has been planned for some time, the insider suggested that Fox filed now because of the approaching holidays.
They had to work out custody issues and resolve everything. This was always her intention, and it has been in the works, the person claimed. “She filed as soon as they finished and the paperwork was in place. They have a strategy for the holidays and will continue with 50/50.
Fox “has moved on…and is looking forward to her future” with Machine Gun Kelly, the person added.
Fox made the comment in November when Green shared an Instagram photo of him and Journey on Halloween, and Fox questioned why their son had to be in the photo. This accusation led Fox to decide to pursue a lawsuit against Green.
Why is Journey required to be in this image? Clipping them out is simple. Or pick pictures where they aren’t,” she suggested. “I had a terrific time with them for Halloween yesterday, but I’ve noticed how quiet they’ve been on my social media.”
I know you adore your kids, she continued. But I fail to see why you can’t stop posing for them on Instagram.
