Janice Dean is an American weather presenter and television show host who was born on May 9, 1970, in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Ottawa. She is currently working as a weather anchor and co-host on Fox News in Fox & Friends.
She is also an author based in New York City and is known for writing a series of Freddy the Frogcaster children’s books.
Dean’s first book, Mostly Sunny: How I Learned to Keep Smiling Through the Rainiest Days, was released on March 5, 2019. Her second book, Make Your Own Sunshine: Inspiring Stories of People Who Find Light in Dark Times was released on March 2, 2021.

The seal approval was not a diploma so she is not a meteorologist but is an approval launched in 1957 to recognize the on-air personalities to give weather information to the general public.

Janice Dean was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis(MS) in 2005.
She has described how she was working and was busy with weather forecasting in 2005 which was the year of hurricanes: Dennis, Emily, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. And soon she started feeling tired, stressed, and depressed. At first, she thought that it was a result of the workload but little did she know that it was a storm that was building inside her for many years.
She consulted the doctors and they clearly asked her to see a neurologist as it could be anything from a slipped disc to multiple sclerosis.
She saw a neurologist and her MRIs showed clear signs of having MS as she was having lesions on both her brain and spine. The spinal tap fluid also showed the protein the doctors look for in MS patients.
Janice also shared how difficult it was for her to believe the reality of her body and many times she questioned herself what if she lands up sitting in a wheelchair for the rest of her life?

But the meteorologist was a brave lady and fought her disease very strongly. Her boyfriend now her husband Sean Newman was a support system during her whole journey and she is very thankful to him.
They even married in 2007 and later gave birth to two beautiful healthy sons.
After being a mother she explained that it’s not impossible for an MS patient to get pregnant rather it helps a lot in having a protective pregnancy and one should not give up on anything.
She now feels very thankful to her body which has managed to keep her alive for so many years and that she is ready to fight any battle. She shared how MS made her stress a little less and things like body weight and having a curvy body were a concern for her since a young age but now she doesn’t think much about all these things and tries to live a healthy stress-free life.
