The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has decided that actor Leslie Jordan did not die in a car accident last year. Instead, he died of natural causes. Jordan was known for his witty Southern accent and versatility on TV shows like Will & Grace and American Horror Story.
A report from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner says that the 67-year-old actor died of sudden heart failure caused by arteriosclerosis
.
Arteriosclerosis is a hardening of the arteries that can make it hard for blood to flow through them. Jordan died when his car crashed Oct. 24 in the Hollywood area. The coroner’s report said that the cause of death was natural because an autopsy didn’t find any signs of life-threatening trauma.
Cause of His Death
At the time of his death, Jordan hadn’t used drugs or alcohol in more than 20 years, and toxicology tests didn’t find any in his body. TMZ said that the coroner found that Jordan, who was taking medicine for his heart at the time of his death, had major heart problems, including one artery that was 80% blocked and another that was 50% blocked.
