The Husband of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Filing for Divorce
Perry Greene, MTG’s ex-husband, tells TMZ “For the past 29 years, Marjorie has been both my best friend and the most wonderful mother. The most essential thing we have done is prioritize our family.”
“As we move on different roads, we will continue to focus on our three amazing kids, their future endeavors, and our friendship,” Perry continues.
Due to her husband’s recent decision to dissolve their marriage, Marjorie Taylor Greene won’t be re-elected at home.
Perry Greene, MTG’s husband, hurried to court on Tuesday to file for divorce from the Georgia congresswoman after 27 years of marriage, according to new legal documents acquired by TMZ.
Marjorie and Perry were married back in August 1995 while she was still enrolled in college at the University of Georgia. They went on to have three children together, all of whom are now adults.
It’s unknown what caused the separation, but MTG’s husband claims in the documents that they had previously broken up and asks the court to divide their assets and debts evenly.
MTG informs TMZ “I have a strong belief that marriage is a good thing. A husband and wife building a family to nourish and protect is how our society is developed. Perry and I established our family together and brought up three wonderful children. He assigned me the highest-paying position a person can hold: mom.”
“I’ll always be grateful for how terrific a dad he is to our children,” she continues.
