The companions of the actresses allegedly assaulted an Argentine photojournalist.
Cara Delevingne and Margot Robbie, who both appeared in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, got into a fight with the paparazzi in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to sources with firsthand knowledge of the incident, Robbie and Delevingne had breakfast with some of their pals early on Sunday morning at Patagonia Sur in the La Boca district. Up until a paparazzi interjected as they were leaving the restaurant, everything was going according to plan.
Robbie and Delevingne were reportedly accosted by the media as they were boarding their Uber. The photographer forcefully began shooting pictures of the actresses, invading their personal space. TMZ’s sources claim that the encounter startled the Uber driver, who suddenly drove off with Delevingne fully inside and Robbie half inside and half out.
Robbie apparently had to jump out of the moving car to prevent suffering catastrophic injuries. Even though the actress was on the ground, the paparazzi persisted in photographing her, which prompted two of her male friends to step in and assist.
The catch is that the photog went to the police alleging that he was savagely beaten up by Robbie and Delevingne’s two male friends. Sources tell TMZ that the paparazzi rushed off and fell on his own.
Online Argentine publication Infobae cited a police record when it said that Pedro Alberto Orquera, one of the paparazzi, suffered a broken arm and a bleeding scalp as a result of the alleged beating.
The news source also stated that Robbie and Delevingne’s male companions, Jac Rhis Hopkins and Josei Mac Namara Callum, have been described and that the photographer wished to file charges.
Although the photographers mistakenly thought the two men who allegedly beat him down were security, TMZ’s sources have revealed that they are actually the actresses’ close friends in the film industry. One of them works as a key grip, and the other produces movies.
It’s not yet known if the male pals have been detained or lodged in a jail cell on any specific accusations. Infobae stated that authorities are interested in bringing charges, pending an investigation, despite the lack of specifics.
Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne Friendship
It’s thought that Robbie and Delevingne became friends while working on the 2016 film Suicide Squad. In the David Ayer-directed film, Robbie played Harley Quinn, and Cara Delevingne played Dr. June Moone, also known as Enchantress.
Robbie has reportedly been dropping by Delevingne’s home lately, according to TMZ. The news source also said how they frequently travel together, which could indicate that they are really close friends.
Forthcoming Projects for Margot Robbie
Next, Robbie will play a silent cinema actress in Damien Chazelle’s drama Babylon, which also stars Brad Pitt and an ensemble cast member in David O. Russell’s ensemble period comedy Amsterdam. Both films are scheduled for release in 2022.
In Greta Gerwig’s 2023 romantic comedy Barbie, the actress will also play the title fashion doll opposite Ryan Gosling.
In addition, she will play a prominent role in a female-led relaunch of the Pirates of the Caribbean series as well as the ensemble cast of Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and appear in an adaptation of Matt Ruff’s thriller novel Bad Monkeys.
