How did the couple start dating?

Ben Platt and Noah Galvin seemingly connected when Galvin replaced Platt in the award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen in 2017.

Although they remained close friends after, things really began to escalate during the Covid-19 pandemic. The two began living together in Platt’s childhood home which brought them closer together.

In May 2020, Galvin confirmed the relationship rumours with Platt on a podcast. He mentioned that their relationship was still fairly new.

The same year, on New Years Eve the couple decided to go Instagram official with each other. The two have been madly in love and talk about each other on media outlets ever since.

In an interview with Kelly Clarkson, Platt opened up about the history of their relationship. He said that they were friends for 5 years before they finally decided to give being in a relationship a try.

After being in a long-term relationship, the lovers have decided to take things to the next level.

In November, the couple announced they are engaged on Instagram with sweet posts from both sides. They shared intimate photos of the proposal and the ring.

Platt captioned his post with the words, “He agreed to hang out forever” while Galvin captioned his post with, “I said yeehaw and then cried for like seven hours.”
