The Japanese sci-fi thriller drama Alice in Borderland was first released on Netflix on December 10, 2020, and was listed in Netflix’s Top 10 in more than 30 countries. Due to the series’ popularity, it was renewed just a few weeks after the first season was released.

The series is based on Haro Aso’s manga of the same name and follows two characters, Ryhei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi, who are forced to compete in deadly games. Both Arisu and Usagi make a lot of friends and rivals in the series.

Since the year 2022 is almost coming to an end, many people are still worried about the release date for the second installment of Alice in Borderland. However, back in November 2021, Netflix confirmed that the second season of Alice in Borderland is going to release in December 2022, but an official release date has yet to be announced.

Alice in Borderland season 2 is set to air on Netflix on 22nd December 2022 after a two-year hiatus. Interestingly, the filming of the series was officially wrapped in March 2022, but due to some internal issues, the release was delayed for a bit.

Apart from this, Netflix hinted that the last ten surviving cast members would make a return in the second season, but an official announcement about cast members has yet to be made.

Currently, Netflix is tricking its fans about the series as neither the number of episodes nor the plot of the series has been announced, but through some hints, we can speculate the probability of things that are going to happen in the second part.
