The 35-year-old singer-songwriter, who went by the stage name Tobias Strebel, had been missing since Aug. 18, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sheldon was last seen at 6 p.m. on August 17 in the Hollywood area, according to authorities.
According to TMZ, Sheldon’s body was discovered in a Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley on Friday; the LAPD has yet to confirm that the body is Sheldon’s.
According to the website, drugs were discovered in the room, but the cause of Sheldon’s death was unknown.
Sheldon’s disappearance was possibly tied to a breakup with his lover, according to E! News. According to E!, the police did not believe the case was suspicious.
The musician, who was dubbed Bieber’s “deliberate lookalike” by the media, spent five years modeling himself after a younger, longer-haired Bieber. In 2014, he appeared on TLC’s “My Strange Addiction” and E”Botched,” !’s a plastic surgery docu-series.

He later created a Vine account and began sharing the covers there. Within a year, he had amassed over a million followers on the platform. Vine had 1.4 million followers at his peak.
