Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, stars of the show ‘Vanderpump Rules’ have been wedded twice on the show. Due to issues with paperwork, they had a second wedding in 2019 which was televised on the show.
The couple were in a relationship for 12 years before Maloney called it quits by formally filing for divorce on March 22nd, 2022. The reason cited by the divorce petition for the split of the two stars was “irreconcilable differences”. Before formally filing the legal papers the pair announced their breakup on their respective Instagram pages.
The decision to divorce seemed one-sided as Schwartz revealed in his post. He chose to share the sad news on his Instagram by choosing to focus on the good memories the couple made over the years.

Katie has spoken up numerous times about how often the two lovers seemed to end up fighting in their relationship, she even admitted to having some poor behaviours of her own adding in that she could be a ‘bad drunk’ at times which seems to be a problem both stars share.
After the breakup, Maloney opened up on the podcast We Met At Acme to speak up about feeling unfulfilled and unhappy in her relationship. She spoke about the breakup on her own podcast You’re Gonna Love Me saying that the decision to split was something that had been accumulating over time and not something they had rushed into making.
Nearly three months after the split, the two moved out of the home they shared together. Schwartz went on to say that the two were still on very good terms with close to no animosity and zero tension between the exes.

He also appeared in Maloney’s podcast where they discussed how they were still hanging out in a healthy way by respecting each other’s spaces and boundaries. They claimed to still be ‘buddies’ who text, talk and have joint custody of the dogs.
The former couple reached a settlement in September after coming to an agreement on waiving the spousal support forever and dividing their assets amicably. The two were officially divorced on October 12th when the final judgement had been passed.

At BravoCon 2022, the exes were speaking candidly about their split on a panel along with their fellow Vanderpump Rules co-stars. Tom revealed that one of the hardest parts of the breakup for him was having to go public with the news before he could entirely make peace with it.

Although both have remained single since, Tom fueled rumors recently regarding his affair with co-star Raquel Leviss. He spoke at BravoCon about how he developed a deeper connection with this particular co-star which has led to growing tensions between Tom and his ex-wife.
Maloney on the other hand has been enjoying and relaxing in her single life alongside her bestfriend and fellow cast member Lala Kent. She mentioned that she was very open to the idea of meeting someone new but wasn’t looking for the possibility of a boyfriend or having a relationship anytime soon.
