Victoria Newman is a fictional character from CBS’s American soap opera The Young and the Restless. William J. was the one who came up with the idea.
Amelia Heinle plays Bell in the current version of the character. Victoria was born onscreen in 1982, and for the first eight years of her life, she was played by Ashley Nicole Millan, a child actress.
Victoria returned to the soap show after being abruptly aged into a teenager and was played by Heather Tom. Tom played the persona until she was in her early twenties, and he stayed in the role for thirteen years.
Tom left the serial opera in 2003 due to creative disputes, and Heinle was cast in the role on March 21, 2005.
On The Young and the Restless, Victor Newman has not a single doubt that Ashland Locke faked his terminal cancer diagnosis in order to trick Victoria Newman into marrying him so that he could take over Victor’s company. (To summarize, as with all things, this is about Victor, his daughter is just collateral damage; them’s the breaks.) Even if Victor is 100% percent right, he is also still the one at fault for the situation.

Yes, Ashland (Robert Newman) is ultimately liable for his conduct. If he is, in fact, faking his feelings for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) in order to persuade her to appoint him co-CEO of Newman-Locke, he is a nasty man, and Victoria has every right to knock him out with one of her stiletto heels. But that’s a private matter between the two of them. (In their divorce procedures, Victoria has every right to take Ashland to the cleaners.)
Y&R: The Badder Guy
But, if Ashland is feigning his love for Victoria in order to persuade her to name him co-CEO of Newman-Locke, Victor is the one who inspired him to do so (Eric Braeden).
Victor was so desperate for Ashland’s company last year that he refused to call 911 when the man was having a heart attack (!!!) until he signed over his media empire. The media conglomerate was later acquired by Newman Enterprises. Can you blame Ashland for adopting equally shady methods to reclaim something Victor obtained by, to put it bluntly, unlawful means?
