Rep. Kris Jordan died of natural causes on Saturday. He was only 46 years old and was well-known in both the House and Senate chambers, where he worked to represent the people of Delaware County.

On the day of Jordan’s funeral, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine told the statehouse and all public buildings and grounds in Delaware County to fly their flags at half-staff until sunset.

“I didn’t think he would die. I was totally shocked when I heard, “said Sen. Andrew Brenner, R-Delaware. “I heard that it happened on Saturday afternoon or early Saturday afternoon. I called his dad right away to make sure what happened and that it was an accident, you know.”

He said that Brenner was like a brother to Jordan. They helped each other with politics and cheered each other on as they got better.

How did he die? Cause of death

Brenner said, “He was one of the first people to support the heartbeat bill.” “He was also one of the people in Ohio who worked to get rid of the inheritance tax. He pushed for lower taxes and less government rules because he knew that keeping more money in families’ pockets was good for them. This is why he did what he did.”

Jordan began his career when he was still young. At the age of 25, he was chosen to be a county commissioner. Later, he tried to get a job as a state representative.

Brenner said, “He was willing to sit down and talk with and work with anyone.” “But you kind of knew what he thought about politics, and you knew that he was pro-life, very conservative, and in favour of the second amendment. And he is a good person. And because you’ve known him since you were young, you’ve seen him grow up.”

When Jordan’s family, friends, and coworkers heard the news on Saturday that he had died, they were all shocked.

“Fran and I are shocked and saddened to hear that Rep. Kris Jordan has died. We send our deepest condolences to all of his family members for this sudden loss. Kris will be remembered for how knowledgeable he was as a lawmaker and how hard he worked for the people of Delaware county “Gov. Mike DeWine said in a statement.

No two people were in the House.

More alike than us on policy, “State Representative Ron Ferguson, R-Wintersville, said. “We were what you call “small-l libertarians,” and we had very different ideas. We cared deeply about personal rights and individual rights. And I know that a lot of that was because he wanted his kids to be proud of the world they grew up in, in the middle lot to me.”

“We’re sad to hear that State Representative Kris Jordan has died. During this hard time, our thoughts and prayers are with his whole family, “In a statement, the Ohio House Democratic Caucus said this.

On Thursday evening, people can pay their respects at a funeral home on the west side of Delaware County. On Friday at 11 a.m., there will be a memorial service.
