Former Royal Engineer Shaun was planning to install a new kitchen and bathroom when he began experiencing lower back discomfort in September. It was decided to expand the family home.

Surgically, a kidney and a portion of his colon were removed along with a lump in his stomach that was discovered on October 1. In less than two months from the time of his initial diagnosis, cancer had spread to his lungs.

It came as a huge surprise to Lindsey and the rest of the family when they learned that he had a rare form of cancer because he was in such good health and was so active and healthy.

Just days after his surgery, Shaun was eager to be back home with Zac for his first birthday. It was Leo’s birthday just a few weeks after he returned to the United States. Shaun, however, was unable to attend because he was in the hospital at the time.

The last time Leo had seen him since he’d been in the hospital, this was it. The RTS-winning transformation of a whole street of houses in Manchester for Wounded Veterans (with assistance from Prince William and Prince Harry) was one of the most significant challenges she worked on as a popular designer on DIY SOS. She also helped to build a new community center and boxing gym for the residents of Grenfell Tower in London, which received RTS and NTA nominations.

Interior designer Gabrielle oversees the entire process from the initial site visit and concept drawings all the way to completion for her clients. In addition to historic mansions and charming rural communities, she can also handle luxurious luxury boats and functional family homes.

In the pouring rain, I sprinted across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, along the riverbed, and back up the Avon Gorge slope. The two locations are about 10 miles apart. In time, Michelle was able to let go of the emotional attachment she had for her child and gain the courage to say goodbye to him. Her two young children appear to be the key to unlocking more joy and happiness in her life, however.
