Even though Dave Myers told his fans that he hasn’t been feeling well right now, he committed to fighting through chemotherapy. More details about his health can be found in the section below.

On September 8, 1957, an English chef and television broadcaster named David James Myers was born. The Hairy Bikers included Si King and David James Myers.

He gained notoriety by competing on Strictly Come Dancing, a BBC celebrity experience program. On various BBC cooking programs, Myers and King have collaborated.

Another item that was self-produced and put on the market is The Hairy Bikers Diet Club.

When did Dave Myers announce his illness?

Myers broke the news while chatting with Si King, a fellow Hairy Biker chef, and friend, on the podcast Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles.

The actor said: “Anyway Kingy, I’ve got to come clean now, I haven’t been too well recently and, basically, I’ve got to have some chemo, you know all this anyway, so this year is going to be a bit quiet for me, I’m not going to be filming, some of the festivals I’m not going to be able to go to, some may be okay but this year’s kind of a write-off for us.”

During his treatment, Myers requested that listeners respect his privacy. He said: “I have had to speak up about this because I don’t want to hide under a rock, but I would love it if people respected my privacy and just let me get on with it and give Si and our team all the support they need, that would be great.

But see, everything will be great; the prognosis is good.

He continued, “I just have to get some rest, take care of myself, eat properly, and get over this issue, flog books, and be a happy guy so, within that, that’s where I am.

“I may be a baldy biker for a long, so that’s just a warning,” he said. “I don’t want to make a big deal about it, because I actually look fine bald.”

Myers was addressed by King, who responded, “No, listen, when I first saw you, guy, you looked like an upside-down Hells Angel so I like that look, I’ve always liked that appearance, you look awesome.”

“Yeah, I know, and under better conditions, I feel I would embrace it more, but under these circumstances, it’s just something I have to live with,” Myers retorted.

“Start working on it immediately.”
