Landscapeinsight- The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Montana is getting ready to send out April’s payments, which will help eligible families across the state with much-needed money. SNAP users can expect their payments to be put on their electronic benefits transfer (EBT) cards starting April 2 and going through April 6.
Criteria for Eligibility
Monthly SNAP benefits depend on the number of people living in the home. One-person households can get up to $291 a month, while homes with eight or more people may be able to get up to $1,751 a month. Households with more than eight people get an extra $219 each in funds.
How much a single person must earn each month to be qualified for SNAP benefits? The maximum for a family of four is $4,214, but the minimum for a single person is $1,215 per month.
The 1964 Food Stamp Act set the main goals of the program, and these payments are meant to help low-income people and families get more nutritious food and avoid going without food. SNAP recipients can use their benefits at a lot of places that take part, like grocery shops and farmers markets.
