Silo season 1 plot: What will be the show all about?
In the series Silo, played by Rebecca, Juliette, also known as Jules, is a strong-willed engineer who lives in a terrible, poisoned future. In a world where the air is poisonous, Jules lives in a village in a massive silo that is hundreds of storeys deep. The survivors are compelled to abide by the stringent guidelines that they think are in place to keep them safe.
On the other hand, others defy the laws and dare to hope and dream for a better future. These people are regarded as dangerous, and the punishment for breaking the law is straightforward: they are forced outside to “clean”. And it is a task they will not be able to do.
Wool takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The Silo, a 144-story-deep underground city, is home to what remains of humanity. There are tight regulations that must be obeyed — the most crucial being not to talk or think about going outdoors.
Anyone who requests it is dispatched to clean the exterior sensors, which serve as webcams to the outside world. But, a few minutes later, all the cleaners will pass away from the poisonous outdoor gases.
Engineer Jules, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, is chosen to serve as the sheriff of The Silo because she is tenacious, responsible, and determined. When the former sheriff Holston and his wife volunteer to clean the outdoors, she starts to look into what motivated them and finds herself bound to the same fate.
