Machine Gun Kelly performed to a sold-out crowd on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, when a crew member witnessed him yelling and banging a guitar. At the conclusion of his performance in New York City, he stormed off the stage and approached a male staffer.
In True Rock-Star Style, M.G.K. Smashed the Guitar on Stage
Another crew member managed to grab 32-year-old Kelly, who was shouting from a short distance and had pink hair. M.G.K. came back on stage and played his guitar like a rock star. His band kept entertaining the crowd in the interim.
After the show at Catch, he crushed a champagne flute against his head while attempting to imitate Tommy Lee. The rapper-turned-rocker hit himself so hard during the fan-filled party that he broke the glass and started bleeding.
“I don’t care, mate. “And that’s when things shifted.,” he captioned his Instagram Story on Wednesday, speaking into a microphone. Later, in a second video, he sang his hit song, “My Ex’s Best Friend,” in front of the public while still bleeding, with the tagline, “F-k it.”
MGK’s guitar crapped out during his final song at MSG, and he tried to signal to his tech 1000 times to get him another – but he just never did, so MGK said “I’m gonna fuckin kill you”, went off stage to scream at him (I assume), and came back to destroy the guitar. Wild scenes.

Documentary Footage Shows Him Nearly Killing Himself
In his new Hulu documentary, “Life in Pink,” Kelly discusses how, after losing his father, he nearly killed himself while talking to Megan TUSEN on the phone.
“I wouldn’t leave my room, and it got really, really, really dark. I started experiencing this incredibly bizarre fear when Megan travelled to Bulgaria to film a movie. Like, I kept getting the paranoid feeling that I was going to be killed,” MGK remarked.
Megane was the person I first called. When you weren’t there for me, I ran into my room and started to panic. Man, I grabbed the shotgun and threw it at you. As I yell on the phone, it feels like I’m holding the barrel in my mouth.
My shotgun will be cocked, and the bullet will shoot upward, but the shell will jam on the barrel. Megan doesn’t say anything.
At that point, Kelly understood he had to deal with his future wife and 12-year-old daughter Casie. I gotta quit drugs for real this time, he remarked, without specifying if he was using narcotics at the time of the incident.
What Made M.G.K. Famous?
Colson Baker is better known as his stage name, Machine Gun Kelly. His stage moniker, “Machine Gun Kelly,” is a play on the name of the legendary criminal George Barnes, and it alludes to his lightning-quick lyrical delivery. Kelly, who was born in Houston, Texas, moved about a lot until settling in Cleveland in 2005, the place he most closely identifies with.
He has record deals with Interscope Records and Bad Boy Records. His first four mixtapes were Stamp Of Approval (2006), Homecoming (2008), 100 Words and Running (2010), and Lace Up (2010).
