hosts of the morning show Carla Marie and Anthony have announced their departure from iHeartMedia CHR KBKS Tacoma/”106.1 Seattle’s Kiss-FM.”
The pair arrived in Seattle in January 2016 to assist with the debut of CHR “Power 93.3” KPWK. After KPWK was restored to its former Rhythmic CHR KUBE programming in May 2018, the pair were initially scheduled to stay in the mornings but were relocated to nights on KBKS two weeks later.
In November 2018, they took over mornings at KBKS, and Amber ‘Alabama’ Cole and ‘English Evan’ Omelia joined the show in April 2019. As of this writing, Cole and Omelia were still mentioned on the station’s website.
Prior to moving to Seattle, the two co-hosted the “My Day Friday” podcast and were interns at iHeartMedia’s “Z100” WHTZ New York’s Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.
Molly Mesnick, the station’s midday host, has also vanished from the website.
In 2014, the former Bachelor competitor joined KBKS as a morning co-host, but when Carla Marie & Anthony switched to mornings, he moved to middays. The station’s schedule now lists Program Director Jared Fallon as a midday host, but the mornings are blank.
Why Were Carla Marie and Anthony Fired from Kiss Fm?
In a message on social media, Anthony alluded to low ratings, calling The Carla Marie & Anthony Show an experiment that failed.
“I guarantee I would have tried even harder to make this work if I could. I invested everything I had into this experiment “He agreed to share.
“We took a gamble, tried it out, and at the end of the day… it didn’t work out,” he concluded. “Right now, I’m most dissatisfied. Not because we have to consider this a loss, but because I feel like I have let a lot of people down.
Many individuals had faith in us and vouched for us, and I am deeply sorry that I let you down.”
Carla Marie also expressed her dissatisfaction with the scenario. “It’s unavoidable in radio,” she said. “‘You’re not really in radio until you’ve been let go,’ goes the joke. I’m experiencing a plethora of emotions. One of them doesn’t regret it. And I’m okay with that.”
She continued, “I’m grateful to those who have given us opportunities to perform what we love on multiple occasions. Thank you to everyone who has listened to us from station to station and time slot to time slot and spent their time with us… THANK YOU! I adore you. I wish we had had the opportunity to say our goodbyes.”
The 32-year-old still has her iHeartRadio podcast Side Hustlers, which helped her get ready for this. “Many of my Side Hustlers podcast guests told me that being laid off gave them the motivation to start something even greater,” she explained. “I’m prepared for the assault.”

Luckily for Fans of Carla Marie and Anthony, They Now Have a New Show!
Carla Marie and Anthony’s fans will be relieved to find that they haven’t completely disappeared from the public light. Carla and Anthony formed EMH Media, LLC after leaving Kiss FM and have started developing their own programming.
They even have a new program that you can watch on Twitch on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET.
Their podcast, MyDayFriday, has returned to the Elvis Duran Show network, where it all began. Carla and Anthony look to have regained their footing, and their admirers are undoubtedly relieved they didn’t have to say goodbye forever.

That lasted almost a year before the corporation made another programming update, this time without the two.
Carla Marie and Anthony were fired from iHeartMedia in July 2020, after more than a decade with the company.

‘The Carla Marie & Anthony Show’ Will Be Replaced by ‘the Jubal Show.’
Jubal Fresh, a comedian, and long-time radio personality will take over Carla Marie and Anthony’s slot on 106.1 Kiss FM on July 27. The 41-year-wife, old’s Alex, will co-host “The Jubal Show” when it debuts next month.
In a statement, Market President Robert Dove said, “We couldn’t be more delighted to join with Jubal on his next initiative and welcome him to iHeartMedia Seattle.”
“Jubal’s ability to create a diversified fan base across America, but especially in Seattle, was something we couldn’t pass on.”
Jubal worked at the station a decade ago and joked that he’s only returning because he didn’t get a chance to clean out his desk before he left.
“I’m always trying to expand and grow and discover new unique ways to amuse my fans, and iHeart Radio is always on the cutting edge,” he said. “This new chapter is going to be really insane.”
