In a new and exciting development for the next episode of The Grand Tour, Richard Hammond reveals:
Richard Hammond appeared on This Morning on ITV after the release of The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick to discuss the episode and its subsequent drama. However, during the course of the interview, he dropped some major news on Prime Video car show viewers.
Many viewers appreciated the fact that the Norway episode used cars in a manner reminiscent of Top Gear, veering slightly into motoring-nerdiness while still retaining the show’s trademark humor and ridiculousness.
Hammond hinted at the future of The Grand Tour by telling This Morning that the show’s episodes require a lot of preparation and that preparations have already begun for the next round of filming.
“Yeah, you can imagine, you’re familiar with TV, that they require a lot of preparation.
There’s a lot of preparation that goes into constructing one of those shows. There are a lot of us on stage if you know what I mean.
Where do you want to go and what do you want to do? was one of the questions posed by Phillip, one of the interviewers on This Morning.
Not wanting to give too much away, Richard simply said, “I don’t know.”
As in, “We actually have a meeting next week.”
The speaker continued:
We get this question a lot: “Do you guys hang out in between shows?” In fact, once we’ve wrapped filming on one of the shows, it needs to go through the editing process.
Andy Wilman, who you both know is brilliant, puts the whole thing together, but we’re all involved in making sure it gets done.
Afterward, “by the time we finish that, we’re starting to plan the next one,” the host revealed.
The next episode of The Grand Tour has already been shot and is in the preliminary stages of editing, according to Grand Tour Nation. During their time in Europe, it appears that they followed a path inspired by the events of World War II.
Starting in June in Poland, they traveled 2,000 kilometers across Europe to reach their final destination of Slovenia. In the midst of their journey, Hammond wrecked an open-wheeled race car on a Polish track, and James May’s backup vehicle, a Ford hot rod, broke down, forcing May to drive it.
