Along with his other websites NewsWars and PrisonPlanet, Jones’ website InfoWars promotes hoaxes and false information. Video, Jones has given white supremacists a voice and support, acting as an “entry point” to their philosophy.

Jones and his ex-wife Kelly Jones have three kids together. In March 2015, the couple filed for divorce. Due to her ex-actions, husband Kelly requested sole or shared custody of their children in 2017.

She stated, “I’m afraid that he is engaging in felonious behaviour, threatening a member of Congress,” and that “he’s not a stable guy” (Adam Schiff). In response, his lawyer said that “he’s playing a character” and referred to the defendant as a “performance artist”.

Jones denied acting as a character when hosting his show, referring to it as “the most genuine, hard-core, real McCoy thing there is, and everybody knows it”; While in court, Jones made it clear that while he largely agreed with his lawyer’s assertion, he disagreed with how the word “performance artist” had been interpreted by the media.

While he still has visiting privileges, Kelly has been given the authority to pick where their children will reside. Following Jones’ protest at the Capitol, where he was surrounded by fans and referred to COVID-19 as a hoax, in which he was mobbed, a state district court in April 2020 dismissed Kelly’s emergency plea to secure custody of their girls for the following two weeks.

2 August (Reuters) Alex Jones, a U.S. conspiracy theorist, stated on Tuesday that his comments about the Sandy Hook murder in 2012 being a fake were taken out of context and that he never intended to offend the parents of children slain in the incident.

Jones, the creator of the Infowars radio programme and website, is currently facing trial to determine how much he must pay for making false claims about the 2012 massacre of 20 children and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Jones has recently admitted that the shooting actually happened.

Jones responded, turning to the parents, “I never intended to hurt you. “Before this case went to court, I never even mentioned your name. Before today, I didn’t know who you were.”

The parents of Jesse Lewis, 6, who was killed, Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, are suing Jones and his business, Free Speech Systems LLC, for as much as $150 million. After Jones questioned Heslin’s reliability during a morning programme on Tuesday, Scarlett Lewis, the mother of Jesse Lewis, spoke directly to Jones.

She said, “I know you believe me, but you’re going to leave this courtroom and say it again on your show.” “Are you able to imagine yourself in my position? Are you compassionate?

At the Travis County Courthouse in Austin, Texas, the United States, on July 28, 2022, Alex Jones enters the courtroom in front of Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, the parents of 6-year-old Jesse Lewis, a victim of the Sandy Hook shooting. On Tuesday, Briana Heslin told the jury that Jones’ lies had caused him to go through years of “hell.”

Heslin gave a testimony on Tuesday in which she said, “I can’t even begin to describe the past nine and a half years of agony I have had to experience due to the incompetence and recklessness of Alex Jones and the falsehoods he has peddled for his own riches and success.”

Jones’ attorney claimed that after being removed from platforms in 2018 and losing millions of viewers, he had already paid a price.

A number of defamation lawsuits have been filed by families of victims who claim Jones’ supporters harassed them as a result of his bogus allegations in Austin, Texas, the home of Infowars.
