Tristan’s mother Andrew dies

The NBA player’s mother Andrea Thompson died on Jan 5, 2023. The news went like wildfire and was very devastating news for his son Tristan. She suffered a heart attack at her Toronto home and as soon as Tristan came to know about it he immediately left Los Angeles and went to Toronto to support his family and loved ones.

Tristan’s wife Khloe supported him

Khloe Kardashian—who shares daughter True Thompson, 4, and a 5-month-old son with Tristan—joined the athlete to “comfort and help him navigate what will be a very difficult time,”.The Kardashians as always were present to support their close ones and Khloe was present with Tristan the whole time and supported him during such a difficult time.

Though Tristan and Khloe’s relationship was not an everlasting one and both have been in an on-and-off situation since 2016 but still, amidst all these, they two share a very healthy bond and the whole Kardashian family was with Tristan to support him and Khloe herself once said that she is very close to Andrew.

Khloe even shared the news on July 22 of expecting a baby with Tristan via surrogate.  Their son was born on July 28, 2022.

Tristan’s mother Andrew: His true inspiration

Tristan was very close to his mother. His mother was his biggest inspiration and he had been seen saying a lot about his mother during interviews. He never stops appreciating how much hard work her parents have done for me and my younger brother, Daniel Thomson.

“It was a blizzard, it was terrible,” Tristan recalled, detailing how she insisted they push through the storm to get to a basketball game. “My mom is a school bus driver so she knows how to handle the roads and everything. Daniel was crying, and he wouldn’t stop, so I think he was hungry.”

“Seeing her do that and be just a warrior and a champ and how much she was willing to sacrifice for me to get to that tournament so I could go play and do something that I love,” he said. “I mean it just shows her love and passion for her kids.”

“Trevor is a truck driver. I drive a school bus,” she wrote for the Toronto Star. “We work hard. In life you have to work hard to receive your blessing, everybody knows that.”

Tristan’s mother Andrew once expressed that after Tristan was chosen fourth overall in the 2011 NBA draft, she reflected on how her son made it all the way to the pros with help from mom and dad Trevor Thompson.

Andrew even appreciated her son saying she never even once has to say anything to motivate his son to follow his passion because the environment in which he grew up and what conditions he when through was enough to make him realize the need to work hard in order to better his family’s condition.
