On Friday, Susan Lucci spoke on stage during the 49th Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony at the Pasadena Convention Center in memory of her late husband Helmut Huber.

The 75-year-old All My Children actress opened the In Memoriam segment by stating that the Emmys “celebrate people that we loved and have lost this year” and expressing her admiration for Huber, who passed away on March 28 at the age of 84.

“Helmut was my one and only love.” Grief, so the saying goes, is the price we pay for love. She said with poignancy, “Grief is a painful price, but I wouldn’t give up even one second of the love.

Her voice broke as she stated, “My husband, Helmut Huber, was larger than the life force of nature.”

He was a self-assured carer who understood just how to get things done and keep everyone laughing at the same time, the actress continued.

She mentioned Huber, who was also her manager, as a picture of the couple showed up on the screen in the background.

The celebrity then brought Michael Bolton on stage for a performance of his 1982 hit song, “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.”

Susan Lucci looked stunning in a pretty pink spaghetti-strap dress that highlighted her toned arms and was fitted at the waist.

Following the revelation that her spouse of 53 years had passed away in March, the beauty has been experiencing “tremendous sadness.”
