The forthcoming Bachelor in Paradise season won’t feature Peter Weber.
The 30-year-old ex-bachelor, who starred in the ABC reality dating series The Bachelor, was scheduled to appear in season 8, which was filmed in Mexico, but he turned down the invitation after his contract discussions with the network fell through.
The Bachelor in Paradise was actually what I intended to do. According to him, I was planning to do it. At the end of the day, it was just a matter of not being able to agree on a contract.
“Maybe I could give it another go,” Weber continued.
But in the end, ABC and I were unable to come to a consensus and leave. It’s all wonderful, in my opinion, because everything happens for a reason.
The star of The Bachelor’s upcoming season of 2020 revealed that he had even taken time off from work to visit Paradise, saying, “I always kept looking at that as, like, the one venue I hadn’t, like, actually checked off yet or attempted.”
Fans will remember Weber’s turbulent season for the endgame gaffe that had Bachelor Nation talking for months; he left the show engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss before breaking off the engagement and having a brief relationship with Madison Prewett off camera.

Weber started seeing Kelley Flanagan after declaring his breakup with Prewett after only three days of dating. By December 2020, the couple had separated.
As his season of The Bachelorette was running, Weber acknowledged spending time with Hannah Brown, whom he had dated on that season.
Weber makes a joke about how many women from Bachelor Nation he would have had if he had joined BiP.
He said, “Someone was there.” “There was somebody down there, but I’m not revealing those names. My interest in going down there was solely motivated by that.
