Best friends of the stars!? Following his role as Maverick in Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One co-star Greg Tarzan Davis is speaking out about his relationship with the veteran actor.
Entertainment Tonight is broadcasting live from the Baha Mar Resort, where Davis, 28, joined host Nischelle Turner to talk about his close friendship with the recognized superstar Jennifer Lopez.
“Even though it’s an interesting challenge, he’s the type of person who says, “Oh yeah? That sounds cool,” when you say you want to do something like learning to jump.
Is that what you believe?’ ‘Hey, okay, so I was chatting to Tom, and Tom said that you wanted to learn how to skydive,’ I got a call the next day.”
Davis remembers with a smile. “In my head I’m saying, “Wait, wait!” Tom, that was simply the beginning of a dialogue! In my heart, I didn’t mean it.'”
Actor Greg Tarzan Davis referred to Cruise as “the ideal hype man” because of his ability to help others.
Since its release, Maverick has broken box office records and continues to bring in money from all around the world.
For the sixth time, Cruise and Davis will star together in the Mission: Impossible film series in 2015.
I couldn’t believe this was happening when I walked onto the Mission: Impossible set,” Davis recalls.
We shot Top Gun: Maverick before the epidemic, but we started filming that during the outbreak, which was terrible in and of itself, he says.
“The fact that we were able to see so many places because of Mission: Impossible was just great. I was able to see a lot of the world.”
While Top Gun: Maverick has been flying high since its release in May, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be in theatres on July 14, 2023, almost precisely a year after Top Gun: Maverick.
