Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are criticizing Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, and Kyle Richards.
The 50-year-old Erika is seen in a sneak peek from the July 6 episode yelling at Jax, the 14-year-old son of Garcelle Beauvais, while intoxicated at Garcelle’s birthday celebration.
In a second sneak peek, Kyle, 53, and Dorit, 45, joke around about the incident—which Dorit witnessed—with their husbands, Mauricio and PK.
Fans condemned Kyle and Dorit for how they handled the matter and attacked Erika for her behavior during the party. The post from the fan account QueensofBravo eventually got a response from Kyle in which she defended herself.
In relation to Erika, Kyle stated, “I was laughing about a friend’s inebriated, foolish conduct. NOT in reference to disrespecting a child.
By now, I believe you understand me better than that. Erika’s comments were only made known to me after I learned about them later, and I wasn’t even there to witness this.
In an interview with Metro, Kyle addressed the criticism as well, claiming, “I didn’t even see Erika say anything, I was told the next day. I was making the typical jokes about a friend’s inebriated antics.
I don’t mean to belittle anyone’s children in particular. My four girls are my children. I believe that I would have reacted differently if I had seen the clip earlier because I only watched it last night on Instagram.
However, you immediately think, “Oh my God!” when you hear a story like that. Sometimes when I shouldn’t be laughing, I do, but that particular joke was about Erika, not Garcelle and her son. Additionally, Kyle Richards mentioned that she will text Garcelle to express her regret.
Regarding her co-stars’ responses to Erika’s conduct, Garcelle seemed to be extremely unhappy. After posting the preview peek on Twitter, a fan questioned her about Kyle and Dorit’s conversation with their husbands.
Garcelle responded with the emoji for anger and stated, “Nope never seen this scene until now. Later, she posted “an appreciation post” to Jax, his twin Jaid, and his older brother Oliver, 31, who Erika had groped at the party.
