Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson recalled his first encounter with the titular anti-hero as he prepared for the release of his superhero film, “Black Adam.”
The Rock, as he is more commonly referred to, talked to “Variety” about what it was like for him to first encounter Black Adam in the realm of comic books. He stated: “I grew up as a young lad enjoying the Super Friends, especially Superman. I recently read my first Black Adam comic, and I found it riveting. His expression was grave.”
“He had chocolate skin and appeared cool, unique, and badass. I could instantly relate to him because of this. Through and through, I am DC “he continued.
While “Black Adam” has Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate and Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman in its cast, according to “Variety,” Johnson’s idea of which superheroes might join his character goes far beyond his upcoming movie and even the greater DC universe.
Johnson responded that there would simply need to be sufficient fan demand when questioned about the possibility of a DC-Marvel crossover event.
“I suppose I’m usually positive. I’d like to believe that would be the case. I believe that anything is possible. Let’s begin with the destination. And if the ultimate goal is to have a crossover that may be interesting, perceptive, and cool for the fans, “Johnson was cited as saying by “Variety.”
“If they want to see something like that, let’s buy a thermometer. If they do, let’s make it if they do. That’s how I run my businesses. I genuinely think that everything is possible. With the proper leadership, environment, people, and discourse, everything is possible “, he said, adding.
