This morning, Netflix released the new drama-documentary Colin in Black and White.
It tells the life narrative of Colin Kaepernick, an American civil rights activist and former NFL quarterback from Milwaukee.
The six-part series delves into his upbringing in a white family as a Black adopted son in Turlock, California, as well as the history of racism in professional athletics and his eventual path to activism.

Neither Colin Kaepernick nor any of his wives have ever been married. Nessa Diab, an American radio and television host, is his girlfriend.
The 40-year-old California native goes by “Nessa” on television and has a distinguished resume.
After earning her degree in mass communications from the University of California, Berkley, she began interviewing celebrities for Wild 94.9 and YouTube and eventually made an appearance on the MTV comedy series Girl Code.
She has hosted shows including Teen Mom and Real World on MTV and MTV2, and now she conducts a hip-hop show called Nessa on Air on New York City’s Hot 97 radio.

Content Within Their Relationship
Colin and Nessa were said to be dating in 2015, but they didn’t publicly acknowledge their relationship until they showed up at a Valentine’s Day charity event in February 2016.
They called their event “Valentine Hearts,” and it benefited Program Taylor, a summer camp for children with heart disease.
A few months later, the two of them established the Know Your Rights Camp, an organization that runs eight such camps in eight major cities with the following goals:
Our mission is to “educate, empower, mass mobilize, and create new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders” with the goal of promoting the emancipation and well-being of Black and Brown communities.
They have been a couple for close to six years at this point. They haven’t tied the knot or had any offspring as of October 2021.
