David Khari Webber Chappelle (born August 24, 1973) is a stand-up comedian and actor in the United States.
His satirical comic sketch series Chappelle’s Show (2003–2006) is well-known. The show lasted until Chappelle left in the middle of the third season’s production. Chappelle returned to stand-up comedy after quitting the program. In 2006, Esquire dubbed Chappelle the “comic genius of America,” while a Billboard writer dubbed him “the finest” in 2013. He was voted No. 9 in Rolling Stone’s “50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time” in 2017.
Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), The Nutty Professor (1996), Con Air (1997), You’ve Got Mail (1998), Blue Streak (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Chi-Raq (2015), and A Star Is Born is just a few of Chappelle’s cinematic credits (2018). Half Baked, a comedy film he co-wrote in 1998, was his first main role. Chappelle also had a role in the ABC comedy Buddies (1996). He inked a $20 million per comedy special deal with Netflix in 2016 and released six stand-up specials as part of the pact.
He has won multiple awards, including five Emmys, three Grammys, and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. For his guest appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2017, Chappelle won his first Emmy. He won a Grammy Award in 2018 for his Netflix comedy album The Age of Spin & Deep in the Heart of Texas.
Another Netflix special starring Chappelle, Equanimity, was nominated for three Emmys in 2018 and won for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). In 2019, Chappelle was awarded the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which is America’s highest comedy prize. Sticks & Stones awarded Chappelle his third Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 2020.

At the NBA Finals, Dave Chappelle debuts a new muscular style.
Someone appears to have been to the gym.
On Sunday, Dave Chappelle attended game seven of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, and his arms appeared to be gigantic.
Everyone on Twitter was talking about Chappelle’s ridiculously muscular biceps (except from the Cavs’ 93-89 victory against the Warriors, of course). People couldn’t get enough of the “Half Baked” star’s ripped figure.
Fans speculated that Chappelle was preparing to fight in the forthcoming UFC 200, while some compared him to former NFL player Terrell Owens and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews. (Or incredibly perplexing.) You decide.)
