On Thursday’s season 8 premiere of Southern Charm, Naomie Olindo made her triumphant return, and she’s hopeful some of her other former cast members will follow suit.
Speaking with PEOPLE earlier this week, the reality star admitted she’d love to see friends Cameran Eubanks and Chelsea Meissner return to the program, but she has her reservations about whether either will ever walk in front of Bravo cameras again.
Olindo, 29, says, “I truly missed both of them this year and wish they’d film again, but they’re just so past the point where they would ever want to come back.”
Olindo continues, “I just don’t think it’s in the cards for them. Cameron’s got a family and Chelsea’s doing so many other things. “We definitely stay in touch; I still adore them and see them frequently. Simply said, that won’t be on television.
They are the best, so it stinks. They both have such good judgment and are so ordinary! The hem was necessary to me!”
Before Southern Charm’s seventh season, in 2020, all three of the women exited the program at once. While everyone denied it, there were allegations that they left the project after learning that Eubanks’ husband had allegedly been unfaithful to costar Kathryn Dennis.
“My decision was made and submitted to Bravo months ago and has absolutely nothing to do with absurd and bogus allegations regarding my marriage,” Eubanks posted on Instagram. “Please reject any false rumour. All it is just a rating trick.”
Olindo replied, “I am so very proud of you and us, Chelsea,” and Meissner posted the remark again on her Instagram Stories.
One of the original members of Southern Charm is 38-year-old Eubanks. She appeared on The Real World: San Diego and MTV’s The Challenge prior to her tenure on the program.
Meissner, 37, was also familiar with reality television, having participated in the 24th season of Survivor back in 2011.

She debuted on Southern Charm in season 3, which aired in 2016, as a guest, before becoming a regular cast member in season 4 and a full-time cast member in seasons 5 and 6.
What then motivated Olindo to come back? After three years of dating, she and her now ex-boyfriend Metul Shah decided to call it quits.
Just ten days before Olindo found out Shah had been cheating on her on social media, the former couple, who had met in Charleston, had relocated to New York City together last summer.
Olindo eventually left them and went back to South Carolina. Olinda explains, “I was kind of in a different place.” “I said, “I’m back in town.” What to do is a mystery to me. And I’m not sure what to do next.”
Since Olindo was still in touch with her former cast members, including her ex-boyfriend Craig Conover, their brief, no-strings romance rekindling before season 8 began filming was the topic of much discussion in this week’s premiere.
Olindo has a past relationship with Leva Bonaparte, 43, and Venita Aspen, 28, two of the show’s new stars.
We’ve known one another for 15 years because Venita and I attended high school together; she was my junior. “Leva, on the other hand, almost made me laugh out loud with her!
We first met her through Craig years and years ago, and we quickly concluded, “Okay, we’re not going to work together, but we’re going to be great friends!” Since then, I’ve fallen deeply in love with her. She has been such a dependable buddy for a very long time.”
After some pleading, Olindo was ultimately given the chance to go in, and she immediately leapt in and resumed her fight with Dennis where she had left off.
Since it’s been so long, Olindo claims, “I truly was not even aware that she was still furious or that it was still significant.”
“But it’s kind of like pausing something and then picking it back up months, months, and months later. Actually, not much changed. Actually, it appeared to be frozen in time.”
Olindo says she’s happy she did it, despite the drawbacks of being back, such as having to relive the humiliation of her breakup on public television.
She says, “I think people watching will see, you can kind of start again in life.” And while it could occasionally be humiliating and unflattering and you might need to relearn some things, in the end, you can change the course of your life.
