MCU star Chris Evans has been named the People magazine’s sexiest man alive for 2022.
The announcement was made on October 7, Monday night on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Along with Evans, Oliver was also a nominee for the People magazine’s sexiest man alive.
Oliver was in the audience when Colbert announced the winner between the two finalists (Evans and Oliver), and when Colbert said Evans, frustrated Oliver urged the audience to boo and then immediately started demanding a recount.
In the absence of Evans in the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the production aired a pre-taped segment featuring Evans and 2016 sexiest man alive winner Dwayne Johnson, where Johnson congratulated him on the set of their movie, “Red One.”
The Gray Man star told People: “My mom will be so happy, as i won the title of People’s 2022 sexiest man alive, she’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”
Although, this is not the first time that MCU has produced the People’s Sexiest Men Alive, Over the past few years, MCU has dominated the list of People’s sexiest man alive with stars like Chris Hemsworth (2014), Bradley Cooper (2011), Michael B. Jordan (2020), and Ryan Reynolds (2010).
The sexiest man alive is an annual event, which was first started in 1985, where Mel Gibson was inaugural winner. Every year the magazine features a different guy on its cover, last year Paul Rudd was honored, while some previous winners include John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba and a lot more.
However, this coming Friday, readers will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of People magazine titled “Sexiest Man Alive,” which features an interview with Evans.
