American rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Kanye West was spotted in Manhattan Beach, California, on Wednesday.
It was reported that the rapper was escorted out of the Skechers’ Los Angeles building by two of the company’s executives. The company said Ye “arrived unannounced and without invitation” and was involved in “unauthorized filming.”
Skechers even made a statement that clearly disclosed they had no intention of working with West. Furthermore, they wrote: “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.”
We believe that Kanye was looking for Skechers as his new partner for the Yeezy shoe brand because Kanye’s deal with Adidas was closed just a day before his visit to the Skechers building. Adidas would suffer a loss of roughly $240 million due to the separation from the grammy award-winning rapper.
Kanye West was the richest rapper in the world with a whooping wealth of $2 billion, but due to his antisemitic and offensive comments, several companies tied up their partnership with the rapper including Gap, Balenciaga, JPMorgan Chase, talent agency CAA, and Hollywood financier and producer MRC. Currently, the 45-year-old rapper’s wealth is estimated at $400 million.
Various celebrities, including Lizzo, John Legend, and Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as others, have spoken out against West for his words. Meanwhile, a campaign that was started by Jessica Seinfeld to show solidarity for Jewish people has gained traction on social media.
Recently, Kanye was seen smiling and laughing at a neighborhood bagel shop just prior to his appointment. However, the grin on his face does not appear to be that of a man who has suffered a loss of $900 million. It seems like he doesn’t give a sh*t about it.
