Netflix removed yet another show from their platform and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fans had to say goodbye to their favorite anime.

The show first aired in Japan in March 2012. It quickly became popular and people’s favorite for its stylish characters, mindblowing fight sequences, and innumerable memes by the show’s stars, Joseph Joestar, and Jotaro Kujo.

Fans went crazy all over the US and binged the show. It was received greatly and thus, left people wondering why Netflix had listed most of its seasons in the list of shows and films Netflix is removing in March 2021.

Read ahead to know all about why Netflix did so and where you can find the show now.

About JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

The show is the depiction of an exact world like ours but with the existence of supernatural beings and powers. Here, people are capable of turning their inner spiritual power into a Stand. The people in the setting also practiced a martial arts technique called Hamon. This allows its user to focus bodily energy into sunlight via controlled breathing.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is split into several different independent stories and various characters. Each protagonist of the story is a member of the Joestar family and has a name that can be abbreviated to ‘JoJo’. The mainline descendants of the family carry a star-shaped birthmark above their left shoulder blade.

The first six parts of the series happen in a single continuity whose generational conflict stems from the rivalry between Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando. The latter two parts happen in an alternate universe where the family tree of the Joestars is heavily altered.

Jotaro Kujo, Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Dio Brando, and Narancia Ghirga are some of the major characters in the show.

Why is the show being removed?

Upon the announcement, fans kept wondering why Netflix was removing the show from their platform. Netflix was one of the few or the only platforms where fans had legal and free access to the anime. Now there’s only one season left.

As it turns out, an official statement was made on the streaming platform explaining why some of the shows have to be removed. It said that “some titles leave because of licensing agreements”. It further also mentioned cost and popularity factors being responsible as well.

Where can you find the anime now?

Netflix might have removed the show, but fans who still wish to see it need access to it. For such fans, you can access the show on Hulu or Amazon. The con is that you don’t get an English dubbed version.

Fans can still see the show there and enjoy the marvelous world of JoJo’s Adventures.
