Maude Apatow will make her New York theatrical debut in Michael Mayer’s staging of Little Shop of Horrors. She will play Audrey in the performance from February 7 through April 2, succeeding Tony Award winner Lena Hall.

“I have long admired Maude’s emotional insight and sensitivity on television and in movies,” the Euphoria actress said in a statement. She’s a perfect match for Audrey.”

“It pleased me to read that Little Shop was her entryway into her lifelong passion of acting as a youngster and that this play gets to be her professional stage debut,” he concluded. We’re happy to have her join the Little Shop family.”

Apatow is most known for his role as Lexi Howard in the film Euphoria. She created, directed, and performed in her own fictional play during the show’s award-winning second season, and now she gets to appear in a real one.

“We are thrilled to welcome another amazing talent to the show,” said Little Shop of Horrors producer Robert Ahrens. “We can’t wait to watch Maude light up the stage alongside Matt Doyle’s wonderful depiction of Seymour, with her gorgeous voice and great skill.”

The actress recently told The Hollywood Reporter what “euphoria” would entail for her character Lexi in the HBO program.

“Freedom from yourself and your ideas and negative thoughts and nasty self-talk,” stated Apatow. “Once that’s out of the way, you can fulfill your full potential, which I believe will be hers: stop fighting yourself.”
