Tyler Perry is purchasing a new home for a 93-year-old woman who is in danger of losing the South Carolina house her family has owned since the Civil War.
TMZ has direct knowledge from sources that… In order to replace the house Josephine Wright and her grandchildren are residing in, which is also the subject of a contentious property dispute, the actor/filmmaker is constructing a five-bedroom mansion in South Carolina.
After all the permissions are finalized, Tyler’s construction team is expected to begin work on the house in the upcoming weeks.

As previously reported, Tyler told Josephine that he would stand by her back in July after learning of her legal battle with the Bailey Point Investment Group. According to reports, Bailey Point wants to purchase Wright’s Hilton Head land, but she is reluctant to part with it as it has been in her family for many generations. After that, BP launched a lawsuit to take possession of her land.
Wright revealed to news organization WSAV-TV how BP obtained local authority to develop 29 acres of land behind her house, but she declined an offer to purchase the house. Wright filed a lawsuit to take possession of the land she claims has been in her family since the Civil War after BP harassed her after she declined.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up by one of Josephine’s grandchildren to assist with her legal expenses; according to a September update, a tree fell on the house and caused two holes in the roof.
Tyler is going to give Josephine a completely new home to live.
