The 1970 documentary film Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music included Michael Lang in a number of scenes.

With collaborators Roberts, Rosenman, and co-producer John Scher, Lang also produced Woodstock ’94. With John Scher and Ossie Kilkenny, Lang produced Woodstock ’99.

Lang made plans to look at cities for a potential 50th-anniversary event in 2019 in May 2014. The official Woodstock 50 festival will take place August 16–18, 2019, at Watkins Glen, New York, according to a statement from Lang on January 9, 2019.
