Facebook and Instagram’s parent company, Meta, confirmed to NPR that Tate had been banned for breaking their standards against harmful content and inciting violence. Before Meta deactivated his account, 35-year-old Tate had amassed 4.7 million Instagram followers.
A representative from TikTok confirmed to NPR that Tate’s account had been permanently disabled.
