The Aquaman actor and Bonet announced their separation before their new relationship started, after five years of marriage and nearly 17 years together. Daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf were born to the couple during their relationship.

Momoa and Bonet announced that they were parting ways in marriage in January. In February, the actor started seeing Eiza González, an actress who was most recently romantically associated with Timothée Chalamet in 2020.
