In 2010, after work brought them both to Boston by chance, the former professional basketball player and the actress were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.
Long and Udoka got engaged in June 2015 after Long gave birth to a boy child in November 2011. Long has a son named Massai from a previous relationship.
Udoka and Long got engaged in May 2015 after five years and one child together.
In 2019, Long posted a rare family photo of her and Udoka with Kez who was turning 8, and older brother Massai on Twitter to mark the occasion.
Later, in June 2021, the two made another trip back to Boston, but this time Udoka was the head coach of the Boston Celtics.
Why did the couple decide to split up?
According to reports that appeared on September 21, Udoka would be suspended for the 2022–2023 season due to allegedly having an improper relationship with a team staffer.
The Celtics confirmed news announcing Udoka would be suspended for the entire 2022-23 season for violations of team policies.
The explanation for Udoka’s suspension escalated from the Boston Celtics’ official statement of violation of team policiesto a report that Udoka had an improper intimate relationship with a female member of the team staff.
Long expressed her extreme disappointment with the Celtics’ handling of the subject in a recent interview. She claimed that the team had not cared to call and check up on her or her son Kez in the midst of the situation.
The couple are no longer together but are fully committed to co-parenting their son.
