It was only later that David Harewood, who worked with Helen’s husband Damian Lewis on the show Homeland,’ learned of Helen’s sickness.

It was a complete mystery to everyone. We had no idea what she was going through.

“It was both shocking and heartbreaking. Damian did a fantastic job of addressing the situation in front of the media.

He and their two young children are in my thoughts and prayers,” I said.

Damian, Helen’s husband and father of her two children, Manon, 14, and Gulliver, 13, confirmed her death last month.
